Congratulations Nick McMaster, winner of the 2022 NSW Band Association Young Band Person of the Year!

Mr Jeff Markham, President of the NSW Band Association, paid a surprise visit during the adult band rehearsal to award Nick this prestigious state award.

Nick is a dependable, good-natured and consistent member of MYB and BMCB, not only performing at events, but also being involved in the leadership of the band through his mature and professional approach as percussion section leader.  Nick is always on time, always cheerful, always well-presented, and always willing to help.  He is strongly committed to MYB and BMCB despite a busy university study load and his cadetship position in town planning.  Since joining MYB in 2014, Nick has maintained a near-perfect attendance record at rehearsals and performances.  He is a worthy nominee of Young Band Person of the Year, and has enormous potential to continue to make a difference to community music well into the future.
